- Our pile of weeds and a small amount of rubbish is positioned at the bottom of the path that goes down from Jeffrey drive. We ask if the Council would please pick this up for us, there is not much and will fit into a Ute with ease.
- ls it possible to request a small weed spray job?
We would like to plant more inside the Pine log area along the weedy edges, as the mower can no longer get in to mow. We have removed a lot of the weed but the Westerly end is solid weed that surrounds the mulched bit. we would like to plant in it for our next working bee on the 13th October, we have mulch on site that we will use and need to get the weeds under control before moving onto our other sites.
Note: lf this is not possible, would council give me permission to do it myself? - A good spot for a 'no mow' area is at the top of the site just off Jeffrey Drive and infront of the Pittosporums. lt appears to be all indig grasses.
Any chance of a 'no mow' sign?

- Kookaburras, they were also present at working bees last November and June this year.
- A stray dog caused problems harassry passersby, we chased it off. .
- Strange fungi growing out of a Pine 1og-In three stages of growth, the first was like a lump of creamy porridge, wet to touch; the second was stightly firmer and a pink colour, it looked like a dimpled slice of brain; the last was black pancakes which contained black spores.
- Lawn clippings had been dumped on site inside Pine tree barrier, It looked like they came from a neighbour on the North side, as it was freshly mown behind his fence and extending some distance from his property. We removed what we could and dumped them away from regen site.I put a brochure in his letterbox about 'How to destroy your local bushland without even trying'.
- We planted 20 boxes of plant rescue, which originated from 12-18 Unsworth road and Deep creek road between Glenvale road and Timbertop Road, courtesy of CRISP Nursery. These contained greenhoods, Sun, Onion? and bird orchids. Sundews, Stylidiums and lots of other stuff.
- We also planted about 150 tubes, some Euc's but mostly Lomandras and Poas for weed control.
Well there you have it folks our very first newsletter. A good reference I think you will agree.
See ya next time.
